We were very disappointed that our first French partner in Bordeaux were not able to continue with us and pulled out just before the second exchange, after the Palestinian visas had been bought and air tickets also sorted out. This was very nearly a disaster and we considered delaying the whole exchange although the Palestinians in particular were extremely disappointed. However, days before the exchange was meant to take place, we found a suitable new partner, Association de l'Autre Cote, based in Aubervilliers in the outskirts of Paris.
It was a huge jump for our organisations to change direction and for the new partner to begin a project with us that had been started by others, but we want to say in the strongest terms THANK YOU to Association De L'Autre Cote, Aubervilliers for joining in! Our plans had to change a little but the exchange was true to its aims, and finished very successfully. We all learned so much - it was very exciting.
